Necklaces

I LOVE necklaces! I love really fun, different, funky necklaces. I'm not much of a bracelet or ring type of gal. Bracelets seem to always get in my way and I have weird issue of wearing more that one ring and I choose my wedding band, but when it comes to necklaces...bring 'em on!

You can wear anything simple such as a plain black dress or wear all white t-shirt and jeans and make it a non-forgettable outfit when paired with a great necklace.

I like to collect jewelry while traveling and also in my own city by local artists. When I lived in Charleston, South Carolina I discovered a local jewelry designer who blew her own glass beads. I loved her jewelry and own many pieces that to this day I just simply adore. I decided I wanted to try to blow my own glass beads and enrolled in a local 1 day 'Beginner Lampworking Bead Class' and from there I taught myself. A girl with Italian glass, a torch and a kiln...lots of fun! I have been blowing glass beads off and on (unfortunately, mostly off) for the last 10 years. I have loved adding my own work to my collection of jewelry and being able to make my family and friends unique jewelry for gifts.

Here are a few necklaces I have made over the years....

And here are some of my very favorite necklaces from various glass jewelry artists....

Felice Designs
Felice is in Charleston, SC and she is so incredibly talented! My love for glass jewelry was sparked from her phenomenal pieces.

Carter Seibels of Divali Glass Jewelry is just simply a brilliant glass artist! Her work speaks for itself.

Fun, huh?

I've kinda got the itch to go dig my torch back out! : )

A Fabulous Party with No Party Pics!

I really hate it when this happens! I go to great lengths to throw a stylish party and don't get ANY decent party pics! : (
However, the party was a great success! We had a great time sipping on Mason Dixon's and noshing some super yummy BBQ!

Here are a few of the pics I took of the wonderful drink and favor tags that I ordered from Party Box Design!

I will say the Mason Dixon signature cocktail was THE hit of the party! Even all the guys were drinking them!
Really though, what's NOT to like about them....Sweet Tea infused Vodka and Lemonade...YUMMO!

The menu....

For the flowers, I did several arrangements using yellow roses and rosemary! I only got one pic that turned out half-way decent of the flowers! Grrrr! This picture does not do justice to how great they looked! I took yellow roses and tied them with a rubberband to make a bouquet, then wrapped it with sprigs of rosemary! Loved it! Wish there was a good pic!

Guests took home a jar of Rosemary Infused Honey! I covered the top of the jar with some cream colored fabric I found in my fabric stash and tied a fresh sprig of rosemary from my garden with the favor tag! I had them sitting on the hutch right by the front door, so guests could grab one as they left! I also found the 'Happy Trails' sign in my garage and thought it would be perfect!

So lessons learned....make sure the battery on your good camera is charged, so you have a fighting chance of having great party pics! Noted! : )
