Real Wedding Wednesday: Kristen & Taylor Introduction

I want to introduce you to two very fun and special people I have the honor of working with, but better yet, the honor of calling my friends.

Kristen & Taylor ... a stunningly beautiful couple...inside and out.

When I first sat down with them to discuss their wedding needs, Kristen had a HUGE inspiration board FULL of photos she had found...it was love at first sight and I'm not talking about the love between Kristen & Taylor, I'm talking about the love between ME & their style!! They are such a cool couple (think musician cool) with a style all of their own. From the Food Truck with a funky menu to the Bud Vases on Sticks filled with Wild Flowers and every design element in between, it will be nothing short of spectacular!
I can honestly say, there is not one single thing I would do different in design. It's fun, whimsy, artsy, romantic, quarky, beautiful, sweet, rustic, elegant....it's just so them. It's filled with incredibly deep love and I'm just thrilled to be a little part of this fabulous day.

What I love the most is that Kristen & Taylor will be completely DIY'ing all the elements of the wedding themselves....everything. I will be handling their Day-Of Coordination, allowing them relax and completely enjoy their special day they've worked so hard to create.

From a very heartfelt letter from Taylor, I learned that Kristen has found her true passion in life...wedding design. Been there! : ) I am a firm believer that "when you've got it, you've got it" in design and my dear friends, she definitely got it! I thought it would be fantastic to have Kristen join our fabulous social circle on Socially Circled and have her share her fresh ideas of planning and designing with us! So excited!
For the next few months, every Wednesday, Kristen will be featuring an element of their wedding! It may be anything from how to's on a DIY project, wedding planning time-management, sneak peeks of their designs or anything that pops in our heads to share.

Over the next few months you will get to know Kristen & Taylor....and to know them, is to love them. : )

Here are a few questions I asked them to share with you, so you could get to know them a little before Kristen makes her SC blogging debut next week!

How did you meet?
Taylor and I both went to Georgia Southern University and met while we were there attending school. Soon after we met we realized that my family and his family lived in Ringgold. My family didn’t actually move to Ringgold till my senior year in high school, so I had never lived there but he is from Catoosa County. We became dear friends for many many years; actually he was one of my best friends.

When did you know he/she was 'the one'?
I believe that friendship is so important when finding that special someone and I have been truly blessed because I fell in love with my best friend. After years and years of only friendship, Taylor and I went about six months without contacting one another (guess we were busy...not real sure). Anyways, one random day I received a message from him and he was on his way to a Ryan Adams concert which happens to be my favorite musician. The message was much unexpected and throughout the night he would call me and let me hear Ryan Adams sing my favorite songs. After that day things changed and I found myself falling head over heels in love.

3 words to describe each other?
Kristen describes Taylor as -passionate, adventurous, MINE!
Taylor says Kristen is - unpredictable, hilarious, heartfelt

What has been your favorite thing about planning your wedding?
The last year has been a roller coaster! Since the beginning there have been so many thoughts and ideas go through my mind that at times I have felt a little overwhelmed. You have this picture perfect wedding in your head, but you are constantly wondering how in the world are we going to pull this off? Once the wedding planning began and we started completing projects, it was no longer in my head but right in front of me. The design aspect has definitely been my favorite part. Coming up with ways to add our style and personal touch was very important to us. The planning, the ideas, and the execution all coming together is so amazing. There is nothing more satisfying than watching your dream wedding starting to unfold.

How would you describe the style of the wedding?
A Whimsical Handmade Wedding

What has been your favorite DIY project so far?
We have done so many DIY projects that it is kind of difficult to choose a favorite, because all of them are different for symbolic reasons. The one that sticks out most in my mind though is definitely our wedding web site. The web site has been our most challenging project yet, since neither one of us have any experience in webpage design. Starting from scratch, with absolutely no knowledge, was definitely an adventure for us. DIY projects are so important because once they are completed you can look back and remember the memories the two of you made as a couple.

When's the big day?

Look for Kristen next week for Wedding Wednesday!
